this nostalgic sampler of memories and love. A delight
of textures and techniques for the intermediate
stitcher, this box top sampler is worked on Platinum
Cashel Linen. You can even take a Cyberclass on the VS
website, to learn to build the Garland step by step.
See for yourself how easy it is to stitch beautiful
Bullion Stitches, Colonial Knots, French Knots, and
how to attach the beads. The colours are soft and
muted silks, ivory and taupe silk perles, augmented by
the sparkle of my favorite metallic silvery gold
threads! This sampler was mounted in a 5” x 7”
opening of a Milano Music Box from Sudberry, following
directions that come with the box. The brown of the
wood really set off the antique colours of the flowers
and you can even choose your favorite music when you
order from them. You can also change the words, as I
did, to commemorate a Birthday, Mother’s Day,
Valentine’s Day, or a Graduation, Christening or
Ordination. I encourage you to choose words that
are particularly meaningful to you, or to the person
